MUZA Eating Disorders Counselling Office

They advocate a holistic view on eating disorders and provide expert assistance with eating disorders.

Women’s Counselling Service

They provide women in need with free counselling, advocacy and information on public service competencies and assistance in organizing self-help groups. They also act publicly, advocate for women’s rights and are against any discrimination against women.

It is a phone for children and adolescents and provides them with emotional support and the opportunity for confidential anonymous conversation with a trained counsellor. On their website, however, they provide information on a variety of topics of interest to young people.

SOS helpline for women and children – victims of violence

The phone is intended for counselling women and children experiencing violence. You can call every workday from noon to 10pm and every day from 6pm to 10pm. SOS also operates two shelters in Ljubljana, which accommodate all women and their children from all over Slovenia.

Help-line operates within the University Psychiatric Clinic Ljubljana. Counsellors are trained to talk to people considering suicide. The conversation is anonymous. You can call every night between 7pm and 7am.

Prevention

MISSS – Youth Information and Counselling Centre in Slovenia

MISSS is a non-profit institute providing social care and youth programmes aimed at children, adolescents and parents. Work with users is based on guidance and support in actively tackling different life situations and integrating young people with fewer opportunities.

Legebitra Association – Cultural, Information and Advisory Centre Association

The purpose of the association is to improve the position of LGBT people and attitude towards them. Legebitra provides a safe space and educates and raises awareness of LGBT issues. They advise and assist young people in problem-solving and work to raise public awareness regarding sexual orientation and eliminate discrimination against LGBT people. There is an information point within the Association, which offers young people the opportunity to obtain information on sexual orientation, gender identities, sexual expressions, discrimination, and human rights. Also, young people can discuss issues related to sexual orientation and similar topics in their advisory centre.

They also offer free and confidential testing for HIV, hepatitis B and C, syphilis, oral and rectal gonorrhoea, for all men who have sex with men (MSM) and trans-people. Anyone who has already undergone hepatitis B vaccination is allowed to have an antibody titres measurement for free.

DrogArt Association

They provide telephone, internet and personal counselling for people with drug problems. They also provide counselling and information for parents, teachers and others who, in their work or in their daily lives, face problems related to the use of psychoactive substances. They will be happy to answer any question related to drugs.

Student Exercise – Student Exercise is a project aimed at offering students training at professional centres at subsidized rates. Student Exercise is the largest recreational community of students in Slovenia and offers a wide range of sports activities. Any student, regardless of their place of residence or education, can become a member.

ŠOU Sport – They offer a wide range of programmes for students, including courses – all at student-friendly prices.

University of Ljubljana Sports Activity – Sports programmes for students of the University of Ljubljana.

Tabor Sports Club – They offer different types of sports activities; yoga, fitness, fencing, aerobics, Zumba, Pilates, gymnastics, table tennis.

Kodeljevo Park – There are tennis courts, a swimming pool, a bowling alley, athletics hall, a park and playground equipment for children in the Kodeljevo Park.

Tivoli Park – Within the Tivoli Park there is a swimming pool, tennis courts, ice skating, fitness, sauna, roller skating.

Rudnik Park – Within the Rudnik Park there is also Krim Large Hall and the Table Tennis Hall, which are intended for school sports programmes, sports training and competitions in basketball, handball and volleyball, recreational sports and events.

Šiška Park – The park comprises an athletic hall, outdoor athletic fields, Holmer track, football stadium, artificial turf football fields, tennis courts, indoor bowling and beach volleyball court.

Zalog Park – Zalog Sports Park is located in the Polje neighbourhood. It includes a covered ice-skating rink and a hockey and curling hall. General exercise, aerobics and bowling are also available within the Park.

Kolezija Swimming Pool – The swimming pool opens in May and is open daily from 6.30am to 10pm. In addition to the Olympic and children’s pools, they also offer a beach volleyball court, table tennis and a basketball court.

Strelišče – Strelišče (The Shooting Gallery) is located on Dolenjska Road in Ljubljana and is intended for all lovers of shooting with a pistol, small calibre pistol, revolver and air rifle. You can shoot at a covered shooting gallery or at a shooting gallery that is not covered. It is located at the foot of the Golovec hill.

Outdoor recreation

Trim tracks Mostec and Tivoli, Ljubljana. The 520-meter-long trim track in Mostec offers 15 different trim facilities in nature, while the trim track in Tivoli measures 2300 meters in length and has 25 different trim facilities in nature. There are also trim islands along the Trail of Remembrance and Comradeship.

Sava Recreational and Educational Centre (RIC Sava), Sava – The River that Connects. The area along the Sava river, from Jarše to the Nemška Road, consists of two landscaped units. The first is the Sava Recreational and Educational Centre (RIC Sava), which offers a wide selection of recreation facilities. There you can book picnic areas, go cycling and hike through many cycling, learning and hiking trails. Horse riding (horse riding courses, equestrian trails, etc.) is available at an additional payment. The second part is called Sava – The River that Connects. Riding, running and cycling trails connect the children’s playground, trim facilities, climbing wall and disc-golf course.

Gymnastics Centre Ljubljana – Fitness Vič – Gymnastic hall, gym for guided exercises, fitness, sauna, tennis courts, football fields, outdoor fitness facilities and climbing wall.

Bicikelj is a system that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and provides easy bike rental. There are 60 stops, 300 to 500 meters apart. You can rent a bike at one of the stops and then return it at another. All you need to rent a bicycle is to pay an annual subscription of € 3 or register for one week only for € 1.

Gremo na pot (Let’s Go) – a renewed guide to cycling, hiking and jogging routes in the Ljubljana Urban Region. The portal offers descriptions of more than two thousand kilometres of themed trails suitable for cycling, hiking or jogging, as well as information on natural and cultural sights, as well as catering and other tourist offer.
